Job summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the employee drills and assembles doors and drawers based on the instructions provided in each order’s work order and according to the production plan.
Key tasks
- Inspect doors and drawers and detect defects visually or using sample models and instruments, according to product specifications
- Unpack, inspect, and store externally sourced doors
- Measure doors and drawer fronts to ensure product compliance
- Manually adjust equipment to meet production standards
- Clean excess glue from components
- Drill doors and drawer fronts according to work orders
- Assemble drawer boxes as per work orders
- Repair or recycle defective products following company rules and standards
- Perform unit conversions (imperial vs. metric)
- Take measurements to ensure product compliance
- Maintain weekly inventory of required hardware and drawer components
- Dispose of packaging cardboard in the recycling bin
- Perform weekly maintenance and cleaning of workstation equipment
